According to statistics, by the end of the 2023-2024 school year, Gia Lai province had opened 234 literacy classes with 6,669 students attending. For this work, the budget from the central budget allocated for the two years 2022 and 2023 was more than 17 billion VND.

Literacy classes are held at night, taking advantage of classrooms in schools in villages and hamlets close to students' homes, making them convenient to travel to and attracting many students.

Through the literacy classes, students have been equipped with a lot of basic knowledge. In addition to reading and writing fluently, they also learn more about history and society, which is helpful in daily life as well as accessing information from books to contribute to the development of the family economy.
