(GLO)- On the afternoon of December 10, Gia Lai Provincial Tourism Association held a conference to summarize activities in 2024 and deploy tasks in 2025 in Pleiku City.
Gia Lai Tourism Association currently has 93 official members, of which 73 members are service and tourism businesses. Affiliated associations include the Chefs Association, the Hotel Association and the preparation for the establishment of the Tour Guides Association. The activities of the Tourism Association always meet the requirements of tasks related to the programs and plans for tourism development in the province.
In 2024, the Association will participate in tourism promotion activities at events such as: Phu Yen Culture-Tourism Week 2024, Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival, International Tourism Fairs, regional tourism development conferences; participate in activities organized by the Vietnam Tourism Association...
The Association has urged members and businesses to participate in digital transformation training courses in the tourism sector, equip and use 4.0 technology in their operations; connect and update information on the province's electronic information portal and tourism information portal...
In addition, the Association has coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to support a number of localities in training and coaching on rural tourism; survey and evaluate the current status of homestay and farmstay types and the potential for agricultural and rural tourism in districts, towns and cities in the province, and advise localities on building feasible models.
The conference also set out key tasks in 2025 such as: continuing to implement programs and resolutions on developing tourism into an important economic sector of the province; closely following and focusing on implementing the province's tourism development plan in 2025; actively participating in conferences, seminars, and tourism fairs to promote and advertise the province's tourism image; coordinating and organizing training courses to improve knowledge, expertise, and skills for members and supporting some people doing community tourism in localities in the province.
In addition, the Association promotes membership development; introduces tourism programs of businesses on the media; and mobilizes travel agency members to actively connect markets to bring tourists to the province.
On this occasion, the Provincial Tourism Association admitted 10 new members, including 9 enterprises and 1 individual; Vietnam Tourism Association awarded certificates of merit to 10 units with outstanding achievements in business activities, actively participating in the activities of the Tourism Association, making positive contributions to the development of Gia Lai province tourism and Vietnam Tourism in 2023.
