Roses grown in the flower region of Da Lat have doubled, even quadrupled in price as Valentine's Day, February 14, approaches.

Recorded on February 11, in major rose growing areas of Da Lat and neighboring districts, flower purchase prices at warehouses have doubled.
Red roses are the type with the highest price increase. Farmers in flower villages harvest day and night to deliver the last batch of flowers for the holiday on February 13.
In gardens, flower shops... many traders come to negotiate, sign orders to buy roses, and ship them to other localities to sell to customers for display or as gifts on Valentine's Day, February 14.
Mr. Nguyen Tam Anh (Van Thanh flower village) excitedly said that before and after Tet, the price of red roses sold at the garden was only 1,800 - 2,200 VND/branch, but since February 9, it has increased to about 5,000 VND/branch. In particular, Ecuadorian roses increased from 3,000 VND to 10,000 VND/branch, more than 3 times higher than usual.

New varieties imported from abroad are purchased by traders at 7,500 VND/branch. Roses of other colors such as yellow, orange, purple, pink... are purchased at 6,000 VND to 7,000 VND/branch (an increase of 1,600 - 2,500 VND/branch).
According to statistics from the People's Committee of Da Lat City and Lac Duong District, the two flower regions mentioned above have a total area of more than 350 hectares of roses being harvested.
