According to Ms. Thanh, the owner of a flower shop on Kim Ma Street (Ba Dinh District), this year October 20 falls on a Sunday, so agencies and organizations have ordered flowers early as gifts. "There are many customers, so I have to import goods continuously, otherwise the flowers will run out on the holiday," Ms. Thanh said.

Ms. Thanh had to mobilize more family members and work continuously to prepare enough goods to sell to customers.

At a corner of Truong Han Sieu Street (Hoan Kiem District), although there are only 2 or 3 fresh flower stalls located close together, they are very crowded with customers. "Mostly students come here to buy flowers because the prices are reasonable, only from 100,000 - 500,000 VND/bunch. For many days now, the stalls have been full of people, we work very hard but still can't keep up, customers keep coming one group after another", a seller shared.

The flower sales staff are busy, working non-stop, happy because this year there are more customers than last year.

According to a survey, the price of fresh flowers in Hanoi during the October 20 holiday increased sharply by 20-30% compared to normal days. Specifically, traditional roses cost from 8,000 - 10,000 VND/flower, Da Lat roses cost 18,000 - 20,000 VND/flower, hydrangeas cost from 25,000 - 28,000 VND/flower, sunflowers cost 25,000 - 30,000 VND/flower, and dahlias cost from 120,000 - 150,000 VND/bunch.

After storm No. 3 Yagi , many areas growing daisies in Hanoi were affected, leading to the price of this flower being quite high, from 120,000 - 150,000 VND/bunch.

The prices of some imported flowers are also expensive during this holiday season, such as Ecuadorian roses cost 120,000 - 150,000 VND/flower, Dutch tulips cost 110,000 - 130,000 VND/flower, imported baby flowers cost from 800,000 - 200,000 VND/bunch, and South African emperor hydrangeas cost 800,000 VND/flower.

Bouquets of flowers are commonly priced from 250,000 - 500,000 VND, with higher-end types priced from 2,000,000 VND to tens of millions of VND.

Many stores have created new and unique products such as flower bags and flower baskets priced from 200,000 - 500,000 VND.

Succulent baskets are also popular with customers, priced from 150,000 - 300,000 VND.

Besides fresh flowers, wax flowers, wax flower teddy bears, and wool flowers are also gifts chosen by many young people.

Eye-catching colors, long-lasting, durable, these bouquets of pearl flowers cost from 150,000 - 500,000 VND/bouquet.

Wool flowers or wool animal figures cost 30,000 - 50,000 VND/bunch.

Many customers are attracted to gift products made from wax flowers and plastic flowers.
