To ensure the sustainable development of livestock, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Gia Lai province has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue many decisions and plans related to disease prevention and control.
Currently, Gia Lai province has 27 facilities certified as safe from animal diseases. Of these, three cattle farms are guaranteed to be safe from diseases such as foot-and-mouth disease, septicemia, lumpy skin disease and tuberculosis; 24 pig farms meet safety standards against classical swine fever and African swine fever.
The leader of the livestock industry in Gia Lai province affirmed that in the coming time, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the province will strengthen the mobilization of businesses to build disease-safe facilities.
In addition, the local agricultural sector will continue to guide and support livestock farms to coordinate with veterinary agencies and relevant units to plan the construction of disease-free livestock farming areas.
