* Pig prices today in the Northern region remain stable.
Of which, Ha Nam province continued to trade at 48,000 VND/kg - the lowest in the region. 52,000 VND/kg was the highest transaction price among localities, recorded in Phu Tho.
The remaining localities did not record any new changes.
Today's live pig price in the North is around 48,000 - 52,000 VND/kg.
* The live pig market in the Central and Central Highlands regions decreased by 1,000 VND/kg.
Specifically, Binh Thuan province traded at 50,000 VND/kg, down 1,000 VND/kg. Localities including Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Dak Lak traded at 48,000 VND/kg.
49,000 - 51,000 VND/kg is the price range recorded in the remaining localities.
Currently, the purchase price of live pigs in the Central and Central Highlands regions is around 48,000 - 51,000 VND/kg.
* Pig prices in the Southern region recorded a slight decrease.
Currently, 51,000 VND/kg is the transaction price recorded in Dong Nai after a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg.
Kien Giang and Ca Mau provinces purchased at 53,000 VND/kg - the highest in the region. Other localities had stable transactions.
The price of live pigs in the Southern region today is between 50,000 - 53,000 VND/kg.
* According to a survey by the Brazilian Meat Association (ABPA), in October 2023, Brazil's pork exports reached 93,000 tons, equivalent to 200.3 million USD, down 5.7% in volume and 15.5% in value compared to October 2022.
Among Brazil's main export markets, China remains the leader with 336,500 tons, down 8% compared to the first 10 months of 2022. It is followed by Hong Kong (China), with 101,300 tons (up 23%), the Philippines with 101,300 tons (up 40%), Chile with 69,100 tons (up 47%), Singapore with 53,400 tons (up 12%), and Vietnam with 41,900 tons.
In the first 10 months of 2023, Brazil exported 1.013 million tons of pork, equivalent to 2.361 billion USD, up 9.6% in volume and 13.1% in value compared to the first 10 months of 2022.
ABPA forecasts that Brazilian pork exports (including all fresh and processed products) will increase by 9.6% in 2023 compared to 2022, reaching around 1.2 million tons.
In addition to its key market of China, Brazil will also expand to five new markets in 2023. Countries such as Mexico, Chile and the Philippines are looking to import more pork from Brazil.
In addition, exports to Japan and South Korea also increased, making Brazil an important exporter in the highest value-added markets today.
