Some key areas such as Dong Nai, Tay Ninh and Ben Tre – where large supplies are concentrated – continue to keep prices stable at 75,000 – 76,000 VND/kg.
According to experts, the trend of pork price fluctuations on April 23 reflects signs of slowing down after a sharp increase at the beginning of the month. In the North, prices began to slightly decrease, while the South continued to maintain its position as the place with the highest prices.
In the coming days, the price of live pigs in the market will depend largely on consumption demand in industrial parks, restaurant systems and food processing enterprises as the big holiday season approaches. If purchasing power increases, prices may recover slightly in all three regions.
The epidemic situation in Ha Tinh is complicated.
According to Ha Tinh newspaper, since April 11, Phu Luu commune (Thach Ha district) has recorded 3 cows of households in Dong Chau and My Hoa villages infected with lumpy skin disease. Of these, 2 have died with a total destroyed weight of 275 kg.

Since the beginning of the year, Thach Ha district has continuously recorded outbreaks of African swine fever in many communes such as Thinh Loc, Thach Chau..., causing nearly 50 pigs to die and be forced to be destroyed.
Faced with the complicated developments of the epidemic, Thach Ha district has proactively implemented a series of response measures, from distributing chemicals, lime powder, Lumpyvac vaccine to increasing human resources, means of disinfection spraying, organizing vaccination and setting up control posts at epidemic areas, while expanding prevention work on a large scale.
