* The live pig market in the North decreased sporadically.

Accordingly, 47,000 VND/kg and 49,000 VND/kg are the transaction prices recorded in Yen Bai and Hung Yen respectively after decreasing by 1,000 VND/kg.

Today's live pig price in the North is around 47,000 - 49,000 VND/kg.

* The live pig market in the Central and Central Highlands regions decreased by 1,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, Binh Dinh province adjusted down 1,000 VND/kg to 48,000 VND/kg.

49,000 VND/kg is the transaction price recorded in localities including Thua Thien Hue, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan, down 1,000 VND/kg.

Currently, the purchase price of live pigs in the Central and Central Highlands regions is around 47,000 - 50,000 VND/kg.

* According to a survey, the price of live pigs in the South decreased by 1,000 VND/kg.

Tra Vinh province recorded a transaction price of 47,000 VND/kg, down 1,000 VND/kg.

After a reduction of 1,000 VND/kg, Ben Tre province purchased live pigs at 48,000 VND/kg.

Localities including Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh, Long An, Vinh Long, Hau Giang, Tien Giang and Soc Trang purchase at prices ranging from 49,000 - 50,000 VND/kg.

The price of live pigs in the Southern region today is between 47,000 - 53,000 VND/kg.

In general, the price of live pigs decreased by 1,000 VND/kg. Currently, the surveyed price in the provinces fluctuates between 47,000 - 53,000 VND/kg.

* Recently, the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of Tien Giang province coordinated with the Provincial Animal Husbandry Association and businesses to organize a training course on identifying and effectively controlling African swine fever.

The increasingly complex developments of animal diseases have greatly impacted the livestock product supply chain, causing major fluctuations in the market. Among them, African swine fever is the biggest concern for livestock farmers.

In order to improve management to prevent risks in livestock farming caused by African swine fever, it is necessary to have good vaccines and thoroughly apply biosecurity in livestock farming, according to Ap Bac newspaper.

Within the framework of the training course, the submerged part will be expanded according to the “iceberg” principle to learn about the characteristics of African swine fever virus in order to provide a scientific basis for prevention and control strategies.
