Extension of deadline for submitting the Response to the Investigation Questionnaire on Anti-Circumvention of Trade Defense with Cane Sugar

The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced an extension of the deadline for submitting the Response to the Investigation Questionnaire in the review of the application of anti-evasion of trade defense measures on cane sugar.

On October 25, the Department of Trade Defense, Ministry of Industry and Trade informed about the extension of the deadline for submitting the Response to the Investigation Questionnaire for foreign manufacturers/exporters in the case of reviewing the application of measures against the evasion of trade defense measures for some cane sugar products (case code: AR01.AC02.AD13-AS01).

Previously, on September 20, 2024, the Department of Trade Remedies, Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Notice No. 133⁄TB-PVTM on the issuance of the Investigation and Review Questionnaire (hereinafter referred to as the Questionnaire) for foreign manufacturers and exporters in case AR01.AC02.AD13-AS01.

The deadline for responding to the Questionnaire is 17:00 on October 31, 2024.

Upon the request for extension of the deadline for responding to the Investigation Questionnaire by the Related Party, the Investigation Authority issued Notice No. 203/TB-PVTM dated October 24, 2024 on extending the deadline for responding to the Investigation Questionnaire for foreign manufacturers/exporters in case AR01.AC02.AD13-AS01 to 5:00 p.m. on November 7, 2024 (Hanoi time).

By the above deadline, the Department of Trade Remedies said that if the Related Party has not yet submitted a response to the Investigation Questionnaire, the Investigation Authority may use available data in accordance with the provisions of the law on trade remedies.

For other contents, companies are requested to follow the instructions in the official investigation questionnaire issued under Notice No. 133/TB-PVTM dated September 20, 2024 of the Investigation Agency.
