Singer Thu Thủy is currently an officer at the Army Music and Dance Theatre with the rank of Senior Lieutenant. Possessing a powerful voice and beautiful appearance, singer Thu Thủy – a student of People's Artist Hà Thủy – won first prize in the Hanoi Good Voice Contest 2016 and subsequently won the title of Champion in the light music category of the Sao Mai Contest 2017.
Thu Thủy is considered one of the unit's outstanding singers, having won numerous awards at national and military professional festivals and competitions. She is also a familiar face in VTV programs, on stages in Hanoi and other provinces.
Meanwhile, singer Minh Quân – a member of the Thăng Long music group, won first prize in the 2017 Vietnam-China Singing Contest. He possesses a sweet and lyrical semi-pop voice.
Having met through music while participating in the X-Factor (The Hidden Factor) competition on television, Thu Thủy and Minh Quân decided to tie the knot and get married to share, support, and accompany each other in life and in their music careers.
Although they don't appear frequently in entertainment programs, both still regularly participate in artistic activities at the theater and have achieved considerable success. To this day, the pair maintain a friendly and approachable image with the audience through their lyrical pop style.
Speaking to HanoiMoi, Thu Thuy said that both she and her husband want to build an image of artists free from scandals. Therefore, after their solo music release in 2019, she and her husband have now decided to pursue separate music projects alongside their artistic activities as military personnel. “We want to dedicate more time to our family, so we haven't released many solo music projects lately. Now that our children are older, we will gradually start working on new music projects.”
According to singer Minh Quân, since they decided to commit to each other and build a family, the artistic couple not only share all the difficulties in life but also have a harmony in music.
On April 26th, the couple Minh Quân and Thu Thủy will hold a minishow titled "Love" at the Music Garden, Hanoi Opera House, to celebrate their 10 years of singing and to express their feelings for each other to the audience.
This is a special event, not only marking an important milestone in their musical careers but also an opportunity for Minh Quân and Thu Thủy to share their love journey, accompanying each other both on and off stage.
The concert consists of three parts: Meeting, Love, and Affection – telling the story of the artists' journey of connection. "Meeting" represents the beginning of all love, with fresh, vibrant emotions. Next is "Love" – overflowing emotions, sweet and romantic songs expressing the allure and passion of love. Finally, "Affection" – love that has been tempered through time and ups and downs.
Singer Thu Thủy revealed that the concert was an opportunity for her, her family, friends, and close fans to experience the happiness of music. Therefore, the 20 songs performed at the concert were mainly about love, such as: "Give Me One Chance to Love," "The Most Beautiful Summer," "Let's Love Each Other Peacefully," "To Remember a Time When We Loved," etc.
The "Music Garden" space at the Hanoi Opera House was created with the aim of providing an artistic meeting place for audiences in the capital city. It is also a cultural and tourism product aimed at promoting the heritage values of the Hanoi Opera House.
