World rubber price
At the end of the trading session on April 16, in Japan, the price of rubber futures for April delivery decreased by 3.5% (10.6 yen) to 288 yen/kg. In China, the price of rubber futures for May delivery decreased by 0.57% (85 yuan) to 14,720 yuan/ton; while in Thailand, the price of rubber futures for May delivery remained unchanged at 72.63 baht/kg as yesterday coincided with Songkran.
In China, rubber prices reversed to decrease by 0.4% (60 yuan) to 14,950 yuan/ton.
In Singapore, the price of TSR20 rubber on the SGX exchange for May 2025 futures contract decreased by 1.20 cents/kg to 168.50 cents/kg; the June 2025 futures contract decreased by 1.50 cents/kg to 168.80 cents/kg.
In Thailand, rubber futures for May delivery remained flat at 72.63 baht/kg.
The Thai Meteorological Department has forecast thunderstorms and localized heavy rain in the southern region from April 14 to 19, warning farmers to be on guard against the risk of crop damage.
Domestic rubber price
Domestically, some enterprises still keep rubber prices stable, except for Mang Yang rubber, which has decreased in price. Specifically, Phu Rieng Rubber Company maintains the purchase price of mixed latex at 400 VND/DRC, and water latex at 440 VND/TSC.
At Ba Ria Rubber Company, the purchase price of liquid latex is 462 VND/TSC degree/kg (applied to TSC degree from 25 to under 30); DRC coagulated latex (35 - 44%) is 13,600 VND/kg; raw latex ranges from 16,900 - 18,200 VND/kg.
Meanwhile, Mang Yang Rubber Company reported that the average purchase price of latex decreased by 27.5 VND/TSC compared to March 14, fluctuating around 415 - 420 VND/TSC (type 2 - type 1), while the average mixed latex decreased by 29.5 VND/DRC to around 378 - 430 VND/DRC (type 2 - type 1). The purchase price is effective from April 15, 2025.
