At the end of the trading session, the price of Robusta coffee on the London floor on April 21, 2024 at 4:12 a.m. tended to fluctuate little, stabilizing at a high level, fluctuating between 3,887 - 4,217 USD/ton. Specifically, the delivery period for May 2024 is 4,083 USD/ton; the delivery period for July 2024 is 4,080 USD/ton; the delivery period for September 2024 is 4,013 USD/ton and the delivery period for November 2024 is 3,916 USD/ton.

Similarly, the price of Arabica coffee on the New York floor on the morning of April 21, 2024 remained stable compared to the previous trading session. Specifically, the delivery period for May 2024 was 241.40 cents/lb; the delivery period for July 2024 was 231.85 cents/lb; the delivery period for September 2024 was 230.15 cents/lb and the delivery period for December 2024 was 228.30 cents/lb.

The price of Brazilian Arabica coffee on the morning of April 21, 2024 increased slightly compared to the previous trading session. Specifically, the delivery period for May 2024 is 289.95 USD/ton; the delivery period for July 2024 is 291.20 USD/ton; the delivery period for September 2024 is 282.00 USD/ton and the delivery period for December 2024 is 278.00 USD/ton.
Robusta coffee traded on the ICE Futures Europe (London exchange) opens at 16:00 and closes at 00:30 (next day), Vietnam time.
Arabica coffee on the ICE Futures US (New York floor) opens at 16:15 and closes at 01:30 (next day), Vietnam time.
For Arabica coffee traded on the B3 Brazil exchange, it will be open from 19:00 - 02:35 (next day), Vietnam time.
Domestic coffee prices were updated at 4:12 a.m. on April 21, 2024 as follows: Domestic coffee prices increased again after a decline, an increase of about 1,700 - 2,800 VND/kg. Currently, the average purchase price in the Central Highlands provinces is over 123,300 VND/kg, the highest purchase price in Dak Nong province is 124,000 VND/kg.
Specifically, the coffee purchase price in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces is at 122,500 VND/kg; In Dak Nong province, coffee is purchased at the highest price of 124,000 VND/kg.
The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, coffee is purchased at 122,500 VND/kg.
Coffee prices today (April 21) in Dak Lak province; in Cu M'gar district, coffee is purchased at about 123,400 VND/kg, and in Ea H'leo district, Buon Ho town, it is purchased at the same price of 123,500 VND/kg.

Analysts say that technically, the two exchanges are likely to see a price drop early next week.
According to data from the General Department of Customs, in the first quarter of 2024, Vietnam exported about 585,696 tons of coffee with a turnover of 1.9 billion USD, the highest level since 2013.
According to experts, the increase in coffee prices is partly due to concerns about supply shortages, while the forecast for this year's world coffee crop is expected to decrease by about 10-15%. In addition, tensions in the Red Sea have increased shipping costs and many other costs, thereby creating pressure to push coffee prices even higher.
Currently, Vietnamese coffee is exported to 37 major markets in the world. Of these, 12 export markets have a turnover of over 10 million USD with a total value of 1.36 billion USD, accounting for 71% of Vietnam's total coffee export turnover in the quarter. The total export volume to these 12 countries also accounts for 71%, reaching 416,100 tons. Germany is Vietnam's largest coffee export market with 229 million USD, followed by Italy with 196 million USD, Spain with 150 million USD, Japan with 131 million USD, the US with 119 million USD...
The Brazilian Real continues to trade in a fairly low range of around 5.24 cents to the US dollar, but at the moment is little affected by selling from farmers as the Real depreciates.
