According to statistics, Vietnam earned nearly VND10,000 billion from coffee exports in the first 15 days of 2025. Specifically, businesses exported nearly 73,820 tons of coffee beans, bringing nearly USD400 million to the economy.
Although coffee exports decreased by 23% in volume, the export value increased sharply by 41% compared to the same period last year. This shows a positive adjustment in prices, allowing businesses to earn higher profits from reduced export volumes.
Amid a shortage of supply, in 2024, Vietnam exported a total of more than 1.34 million tons of coffee, down sharply by 17.1% compared to 2023, marking the lowest level in the past 9 years. However, thanks to the increase in coffee prices in the global market, the value of revenue reached a new record of 5.6 billion USD, exceeding by 32.5% compared to the previous record of 4.24 billion USD in 2023.
This development not only affirms the position of Vietnamese coffee in the international market but also opens up positive prospects for the coffee industry in 2025. Businesses and farmers need to continue to monitor the market situation to take advantage of new opportunities, while preparing for potential challenges from price and supply fluctuations.
