Domestic coffee price list updated at 3:00 a.m. on February 9, 2025

Global coffee prices closed the week with a sharp decline in Robusta coffee, ending an 11-session winning streak for Arabica coffee, which had previously hit record highs. The recovery of the US dollar also contributed to the decline in coffee prices on the two exchanges.

Robusta coffee fell for the second consecutive session, under pressure from increased sales in Vietnam after the Lunar New Year. At the same time, domestic capital flows began to shift to other agricultural products such as pepper, as prices of this item also increased continuously after the Tet holiday. According to the latest data, in January 2025, Vietnam's coffee exports reached 154,635 tons, worth 799.48 million USD, down 33% in volume but up 28% in value compared to January 2024. The average export price reached 5,181 USD/ton, much higher than the 4,178 USD/ton in 2024.

Arabica coffee futures for March 2025 rose 7% this week, after rising 8.7% last week. However, gains were capped in the final trading session of the week due to a stronger US dollar, which put profit-taking pressure on coffee futures.

The coffee market is currently facing concerns about shrinking supplies from two leading producers, Brazil and Vietnam. In addition, the risk that the Trump administration may impose trade tariffs on major coffee producers in South America is also adding pressure to the market.

Coffee prices have risen more than 25% since the start of the year, after rising 70% last year. Brazil exported 4.08 million 60-kg bags of coffee in January, up 9.5% from a year earlier, according to government data.

Vietnam’s coffee exports are estimated to increase by 1.8 million bags to 24.4 million bags thanks to improved supply. In this context, the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has set a target of total coffee output of 1.98 million tons in 2025, up slightly from last year. Meanwhile, the US Department of Agriculture forecasts that global coffee consumption in the 2024-2025 crop year will increase by 5.1 million bags to 168.1 million bags.
