Domestic coffee price list updated on the morning of April 22, 2025 |
Experts say that despite moving sideways for many consecutive sessions, coffee prices are likely to remain high in the short term because world inventories have not improved significantly.
The ICO and Rabobank both forecast that Arabica and Robusta coffee prices will continue to fluctuate at peak levels in the second quarter of 2025, before possibly adjusting slightly by the end of the quarter.
Meanwhile, the world coffee market temporarily suspended trading due to the Easter holiday. Despite the shortened trading hours, coffee prices were still recorded to have an upward trend this week.
The main reason is supply concerns due to lower than average rainfall in Brazil. In addition, a report from Cecafe shows that Brazil's green coffee exports in March fell sharply by 26% compared to the same month last year, reaching only 2.95 million bags.
Amid climate change and strict standards from the global market, many Vietnamese farmers and businesses are turning to organic coffee cultivation as an important strategy. Organic coffee is grown naturally, without the use of agricultural chemicals, from care to harvest, to protect consumers, the ecosystem and reduce emissions.
According to the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA), from the beginning of the year to mid-April 2025, Vietnam exported nearly 578,000 tons of green coffee alone, earning more than 3.1 billion USD, down 6.3% in volume but up nearly 60% in value over the same period last year due to price increases.
