The 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South on April 30 is creating a wave of "patriotic coffee" at many coffee shops in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and other major cities. Many shops have quickly decorated their spaces in a style imbued with national identity, from the red flag with yellow star, the map of Vietnam to symbols of the reunification day. Not only creating a ripple effect on social networks, many shops have also recorded a spectacular increase in revenue, some places up to 200%, with "full seats" lasting all week.

Mr. Ha, a cafe owner in Ho Chi Minh City, said that thanks to catching up with holiday trends, his shop's revenue skyrocketed, especially on weekends. However, decorating in a historical spirit while still being modern and attractive was a big challenge. His shop had to ensure that it accurately represented the image of the map of Vietnam, especially the sea and islands, while creating a bright space for customers to easily check in. The drink menu was also designed around values such as "Independence - Freedom - Happiness", with 100% domestic ingredients.

The holiday decoration trend has spread beyond big chain stores to small independent cafes. Items such as national flag cakes, balloons, stickers and commemorative cups have turned coffee shops into attractive destinations, attracting many young people to take photos, share and spread the spirit of national pride on social networks.

One notable piece of information is that Safras & Mercado Company – an agricultural consultancy – has just adjusted its forecast for Brazil's coffee output in the 2025–2026 crop year.

Contrary to initial predictions of a sharp decline, the organization has raised its forecast for Arabica coffee production from 38.35 million bags to around 40 million bags, or even higher. Although production is still expected to be down from the previous year, the extent is not as severe as initially feared.
