Domestic coffee price list updated on the morning of March 18, 2025 |
According to experts, reduced supply, increased coffee consumption, unfavorable weather… these factors will positively support coffee prices in the coming period. Investors and businesses need to closely monitor the market to make appropriate decisions.
Experts say that the global coffee supply is being severely affected by adverse weather conditions in major producing countries such as Brazil and Vietnam. In addition, coffee consumption in major markets such as the US, Europe and Asia continues to increase, especially for Robusta coffee. This creates positive momentum for coffee prices in the coming time.
In the world market, Robusta prices are likely to increase slightly due to high demand and scarce supply. Arabica prices may recover if the weather situation in Brazil improves.
However, experts warn that markets such as the EU, Japan, and South Korea are applying strict standards on pesticide residues, creating challenges but also opportunities for the Vietnamese coffee industry to increase value and move towards sustainable production. Faced with risks from the EU, businesses are stepping up their search for new markets such as the Middle East, South Asia, and North America and developing organic and specialty products.
According to a report from the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA), coffee export volume in the first two months of 2025 increased by 4.5% compared to the same period last year, reaching 350,000 tons. However, export value increased more strongly, up to 12%, thanks to world coffee prices remaining at high levels.
By 2030, Vietnam aims to expand 11,000 hectares of specialty coffee, reaching an output of 15,000 tons/year, while focusing on deep processing such as premium instant coffee, tablets, and RTD (ready-to-drink) to increase export value. The domestic market with a consumption of 270,000-300,000 tons/year, growing by 2-3%, is also a great opportunity for the industry.
