World coffee prices
Early morning of December 15 (Vietnam time), on the London floor, the price of Robusta coffee for delivery in January 2025 was at 5,209 USD/ton, up 15 USD/ton compared to early morning yesterday. The price for delivery in March 2025 increased by 32 USD/ton, trading at 5,184 USD/ton.
Meanwhile, the price of Arabica coffee on the New York floor for delivery in March 2025 was trading at 319 cents/lb, down 2 cents/lb compared to yesterday's trading level. The price of delivery in May 2025 was down 2 cents/lb, trading at 317 cents/lb.

Domestic coffee prices
Domestic coffee prices today recorded a simultaneous increase in all localities from 123,500-125,200 VND/kg.
Specifically, today's coffee price in Dak Lak is trading at 125,000 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday's trading session.
In Lam Dong, today's coffee price is purchased at 123,500 VND/kg, an increase of 800 VND/kg compared to 1 day ago.
Coffee price today in Gia Lai is trading at 125,000 VND/kg, up 1,000 VND/kg compared to the previous trading session.
In Dak Nong, coffee prices today recorded an increase of 1,000 VND/kg, trading at 125,200 VND/kg.
According to the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association, Vietnam exports coffee to more than 80 countries; of which 10 markets have a turnover of more than 100 million USD. The European Union (EU) continues to be Vietnam's largest coffee export market in the 2023-2024 crop year, with a value of 2 billion USD, up 41% over the previous crop year, accounting for 38% in volume and 37% in turnover in Vietnam's coffee exports.
In terms of the global coffee market segment, Vietnam is the world's largest producer of Robusta coffee, ranking second in export volume after Brazil, and is increasingly recognized by the world. In 2024, the coffee industry is expected to reach an export value of more than 5.5 billion USD.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien said that in order for the coffee industry to develop sustainably, the Ministry will coordinate with key coffee growing localities to review growing areas, focus on improving and planning stable growing areas, and expand new, high-yield, high-quality coffee varieties.
“The point of view is to stabilize the existing coffee growing area, review unsuitable areas to switch to other more effective crops; do not chase quantity, but pay attention to quality,” the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development emphasized.
In addition, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development coordinates with ministries, branches, and the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association to effectively manage the coffee industry, promote trade, and build coffee brands in the provinces with their own brands; recommend that the State have appropriate policies to adequately support the coffee industry chain from production, processing to sustainable trade.
