Domestic coffee price list updated on the morning of March 13, 2025 |
Experts say coffee prices may continue to increase slightly in the coming sessions as demand remains stable. However, the market still has the potential for correction if there is increased profit-taking pressure from investors.
The current high price of coffee in the country and the world is raising new concerns about the impact on consumption demand. Analysts warn that if coffee prices continue to remain at the current high level, consumers may cut back on consumption, leading to the risk of surplus goods on the market.
Global coffee traders and roasters say they have cut purchases to a minimum as the industry reels from a sharp price surge, suggesting the market is in for a rough patch. The gap between prices and actual demand could lead to major volatility in the coming months.
Coffee prices may continue to fluctuate in the short term as supply pressure remains high. However, in the medium term, the market may recover as demand increases and supply shows signs of decreasing.
According to analysts, coffee prices are currently affected by many factors, of which the supply from Brazil and Vietnam is a key factor: Although the supply is abundant, sales tend to slow down because farmers expect prices to continue to rise. In addition, hedge funds limit sell-offs, helping to stabilize the market. Robusta coffee inventories monitored by ICE have dropped to a two-month low, creating momentum for prices to increase. The volatility of the US dollar affects commodity prices, including coffee.
