Today's agricultural news (March 21) reports that coffee prices in the Central Highlands have risen again, increasing by 800-1,000 VND/kg, with the current average purchase price at 134,900 VND/kg. Meanwhile, pepper prices remained high and increased slightly today.
Specifically, today's coffee prices in Dak Lak are 135,000 VND/kg, in Lam Dong 133,700 VND/kg, in Gia Lai 134,800 VND/kg, and in Dak Nong 135,000 VND/kg.
On the London exchange, Robusta coffee prices closed slightly lower, falling by $24-30 per ton, fluctuating between $5,275 and $5,566 per ton. Specifically, the price for May 2025 delivery was $5,497 per ton; for July 2025 delivery was $5,482 per ton; for September 2025 delivery was $5,425 per ton; and for November 2025 delivery was $5,331 per ton.

Conversely, Arabica coffee prices on the New York exchange maintained their positive trend compared to yesterday, with all delivery contracts increasing by 1-1.55 cents/lb, ranging from 362.45-397.60 cents/lb. Specifically, the May 2025 contract was 392.05 cents/lb; the July 2025 contract was 385.60 cents/lb; the September 2025 contract was 378.35 cents/lb; and the December 2025 contract was 368 cents/lb.
At the close of trading, Brazilian Arabica coffee prices showed a steady upward trend across all delivery periods. Specifically, the March 2025 delivery price was $481.85/60kg bag; the May 2025 delivery price was $488.05/bag; the July 2025 delivery price was $483.65/bag; and the September 2025 delivery price was $476/bag.
* Pepper prices today remained high and increased slightly, with prices in Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Binh Phuoc provinces rising by 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Currently, the average purchase price of pepper in key areas is 159,800 VND/kg.
Specifically, today's pepper prices in Gia Lai province remain stable compared to yesterday, with the current purchase price at 159,500 VND/kg.
Pepper prices in Ba Ria - Vung Tau fluctuated slightly upwards compared to yesterday, increasing by 500 VND/kg, with current purchase prices at 159,500 VND/kg.
Similarly, the price of pepper in Binh Phuoc increased by 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday, with the current price of harvested pepper in this locality at 159,500 VND/kg.
Pepper prices in Dak Lak province remained stable, showing little change compared to the previous trading session, with the current purchase price at 160,000 VND/kg.

Globally, the market is booming, and pepper prices are rising. Specifically, the International Pepper Association (IPC) has listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper as having rebounded after the previous price drop, currently at $7,276 per ton; similarly, the price of Muntok white pepper has increased by $29 per ton, currently being purchased at $10,219 per ton.
The Malaysian pepper market remained stable compared to the last trading session, with Malaysian ASTA black pepper currently being purchased at US$9,800/ton and ASTA white pepper at US$12,300/ton.
After several quiet, sideways trading sessions, pepper prices in Brazil unexpectedly surged again, increasing by $100 per ton, with current purchase prices reaching $7,000 per ton.
The Vietnamese pepper export market is stable and showing a slight increase. Specifically, the export price of Vietnamese black pepper is currently at US$7,100/ton for the 500 g/l grade; US$7,300/ton for the 550 g/l grade; and US$10,100/ton for white pepper.
