Unlike the strong increase of gold - continuously setting new highs last week, silver is somewhat sluggish and lacks clear momentum.

Silver remains attractive to investors amid rising macro risks, but the appeal is not yet strong enough to create a clear push, said James Hyerczyk, an analyst at FX Empire.

“Silver is typically a safe haven asset in times of stress, but it is often overshadowed by gold due to the herd mentality. The gold-silver ratio is hovering above 100:1, well above its historical average of 70:1 to 85:1. This suggests that “silver has the potential to outperform gold if the market returns to equilibrium,” he said.

Despite positive technical signals, silver is still facing many potential risks from macro factors.

According to Mr. James Hyerczyk, the slowdown related to tariff tensions between major economies could negatively affect industrial demand for silver, especially in the electronics and solar energy industries - which account for a large proportion of global silver consumption.

Domestic silver price

In the domestic market, the price of this precious metal remained unchanged compared to yesterday.

Specifically, Phu Quy silver price is listed at 1,247 - 1,286 million VND/tael (buy - sell);

Meanwhile, Phu Quy silver bars are trading at 33,253 - 34,293 million VND/kg (buy - sell);

Meanwhile, 999 silver in other brands is trading around 1,023 - 1,053 million VND/tael for purchase;

Last week, Phu Quy silver price increased by 41,000 VND/tael for buying and from 43,000 - 48,000 VND/tael for selling. Meanwhile, other brands increased by 33,000 - 33,990 VND/tael.
