Acknowledging many opinions of An Giang province before the 9th Session, 15th National Assembly

Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of An Giang Province Tran Thi Thanh Huong; Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of An Giang Province Trinh Lam Sinh; Vice Chairwoman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy chaired the meeting. Also attending were Vice Chairwoman of the An Giang Provincial People's Council Dinh Thi Viet Huynh.

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Committee and departments proposed that the Provincial National Assembly Delegation recommend the Government, the National Assembly, and relevant ministries and branches to balance the central budget to support investment in key projects for the Mekong Delta and An Giang province according to the conclusion announcement of the Prime Minister. Specifically: The route connecting the starting point of Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway to Tinh Bien border gate, the starting point of the expressway to the starting point of National Highway 91C to Khanh Binh border gate; the project to avoid National Highway 91 through Cai Dau - Vinh Thanh Trung urban area; the project to build Tan Chau - Hong Ngu bridge, Ton Duc Thang bridge; early approval of the Investment Project of An Giang province's border gate economic zone; early promulgation of the Law on Industrial Parks and Economic Zones.

Regarding the transitional regulations when merging administrative units, it is recommended to supplement the transitional regulations, provide specific instructions on continuing to implement current plans during the period when there is no new provincial plan; clarify the responsibility for reviewing, adjusting or abolishing old plans that are no longer suitable after the merger, avoiding overlap or lack of consistency in the orientation of socio-economic development according to the policy of the new provincial administrative unit after the merger...

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Tran Thi Thanh Huong acknowledged the opinions of the delegates. The provincial National Assembly delegation will review the content of the recommendations and proposals and provide comments to the Government, the National Assembly, and central ministries and branches, as a basis for submission and discussion in the upcoming 9th Session.
