Sunny Jasmin is a tourist from Korea who recently had a long trip to Vietnam. She visited Hanoi, Ha Giang, Ninh Binh, Quang Binh and spent a lot of time experiencing each locality.

After joining a motorbike tour around Ha Giang, Sunny felt excited about this two-wheeled vehicle.

“After finishing the exciting loop trip in Ha Giang, I thought I should try learning to ride a motorbike and believed that Ninh Binh was the ideal destination to do this,” she said.

In Ninh Binh, Sunny rented a scooter at the hotel where she stayed for 150,000 VND/day.

Although a bit nervous, with the meticulous guidance of the staff and encouragement from her experienced companion Sophie, Sunny regained her confidence and was excited about the motorbike tour.

The Korean female tourist revealed that she had previously experienced driving a motorbike while traveling in Indonesia, but "after only 5 minutes she had to return to using a bicycle" because the traffic system where she was going was quite crowded and there were many difficult roads.

She hopes to have an enjoyable day in Ninh Binh with a self-guided motorbike trip.

“I can’t believe I’m driving a motorbike in Vietnam. It’s actually quite easy, even easier than driving a car. I think I might be able to drive when traveling to other places in the future, without having to walk anymore,” Sunny exclaimed with excitement.

After arriving at Ngoa Long Mountain and exploring Hang Mua, Sunny and Sophie continued driving to another location. Unfortunately, when they reached Khe Dau Ha Bridge (Hoa Lu, Ninh Binh), Sunny suddenly fell off her bike.

Although she was in a lot of pain, her shoulder and palm were scratched and bleeding, she still tried to stay calm to handle the incident. Sophie, who had experience backpacking in Vietnam, immediately took out her "tools" and helped Sunny disinfect the wound.

Some workers passing by saw the two foreign tourists in an accident and immediately stopped to help. Some pushed Sunny's motorbike to the side of the road, others ran to buy soft drinks to cool them down and give them more energy.

“I cried, probably because I was so emotional and didn’t expect this to happen. But I feel better now that I’ve learned to adapt to such incidents. I was just a little upset, feeling silly because this could have easily been avoided,” Sunny said.

When the elderly worker returned and gave them two cans of cold soft drinks, Sunny felt even more emotional, seemingly forgetting the pain from the incident that had just happened.

The Korean female tourist revealed that she wanted to give him two cans of water, but he refused. He even worried about her wound and asked if she needed help buying bandages or antiseptic.

After that, they had a short but happy and comfortable conversation. Despite the language barrier, the two guests felt the friendliness and kindness of the local people.

“He is 60 years old but still healthy and hard-working. He even showed us videos of him singing and playing the guitar. He was really kind, constantly asking about my injuries and wishing us a great trip,” the young girl said.

In the video recording the trip to explore Ninh Binh by motorbike and the unexpected accident on the road, Sunny also revealed that he received enthusiastic attention from many local people.

As Sunny and Sophie continued to move to a restaurant in Ninh Thang commune, not too far away, an elderly woman working there quickly noticed the wound on her body.

This person kindly asked and immediately went to get alcohol to disinfect and meticulously treated the foreign guest's scratched skin.

“I don’t know what she used, but it didn’t hurt at all. I’m trying not to cry because everyone here is so wonderful. They treat me like their own daughter,” Sunny emotionally shared.

After the unfortunate incident, the Korean female tourist said she stayed in Ninh Binh for a week to rest and recover. Luckily, her injuries have stabilized, the damaged skin has dried up, and she no longer feels pain.

“I was planning to stay here until I was fully recovered. But fortunately, within a week, everything was fine again. I didn’t get to experience much last week because of the accident, but I absolutely love the atmosphere here.

The scenery is really peaceful, and the locals are very kind,” she said.
