On the morning of July 14, in Ninh Binh city, the Provincial Veterans Association coordinated with the Can Tho City Veterans Association to organize a meeting and present gifts to policy beneficiaries in the province on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024).
With deep affection and gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of the heroic martyrs, heroic Vietnamese mothers, wounded and sick soldiers of Ninh Binh province in the two resistance wars to protect the Fatherland, the Association of War Veterans of Ninh Binh province, the Association of War Veterans of Can Tho city, the Vu-Vo family of Can Tho, Hoa Hao MEDIC Hospital of Can Tho and the family of Major General Vu Cao Quan, former Commander of the Military Command of Can Tho city, presented gifts to 17 heroic Vietnamese mothers, 2 heroes of the armed forces, 150 wounded soldiers, families of martyrs, 20 students of the Vu-Vo family in the province, with a total value of gifts of more than 200 million VND.
This is the heart and sentiment of the collective units and individuals of the family of Major General Vu Cao Quan, former Commander of the Can Tho City Military Command, expressing deep gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of the wounded soldiers, martyrs, and those who have contributed to the cause of national liberation and reunification, for peace, independence, and freedom of the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people. At the same time, we also hope that the wounded soldiers and sick soldiers will always maintain and promote the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, and be shining examples to educate the younger generation about the tradition of revolutionary patriotism.
At the meeting, delegates spent time discussing and exchanging experiences in the work of war veterans, activities of the War Veterans Entrepreneurs Association between the War Veterans Association of Ninh Binh province and the War Veterans Association of Can Tho city, activities of the Vu-Vo clan in Can Tho, the Vu-Vo clan in Ninh Binh in carrying out humanitarian and charitable activities, participating in local movements and campaigns, contributing to ensuring social security and socio-economic development of each province and city.
