On the afternoon of April 9, the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Thanh Hoa province organized a meeting with Lao students studying abroad in Thanh Hoa on the occasion of the traditional Bunpimay New Year of the Lao PDR.

Attending the meeting were comrade Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Thanh Hoa province; representatives of leaders of a number of provincial departments and agencies, and 50 Lao students representing nearly 400 Lao students studying in Thanh Hoa.

She affirmed: In the flow of history of the two countries, Thanh Hoa - Hua Phan provinces have made many contributions to the great friendship and special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos. Promoting the tradition of solidarity, loyalty, impartial and pure international sentiment and inheriting the good results that the Party Committees, governments and people of the two provinces have worked hard to cultivate, Thanh Hoa - Hua Phan have strengthened cooperation in all fields, achieving many important achievements.
In recent years, the comprehensive cooperation between the two provinces has been increasingly deepened, with exchange activities, learning experiences, organizing talks, and signing cooperation agreements being maintained regularly; activities of trade, investment, commerce, infrastructure development, implementation of aid projects, and support of consulting experts in areas where Thanh Hoa province has strengths continue to receive attention.
Promoting the fine traditions, close, loyal and steadfast relationship between the two countries and two provinces, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee hopes and believes that Lao students studying at universities and colleges in Thanh Hoa province will actively research and accumulate knowledge to both understand the culture, traditions and history of their homeland Thanh Hoa and contribute to spreading the good values in the good traditional relationship between the two provinces and two countries.
He thanked the Party Committee, government and people of Lao ethnic groups in Hua Phan province for their valuable cooperation, coordination and wholehearted support over the past time. He hoped that in the coming time, Thanh Hoa - Hua Phan will increasingly strengthen the relationship and share experiences in construction and development.
