Meeting with the Delegation attending the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union

On the afternoon of December 15, comrade Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting with the delegation attending the 9th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union, term 2024-2029. Attending the meeting were comrade Hoang Viet Phuong, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Department of Home Affairs.

The 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union for the 2024-2029 term took place over 2.5 days, from December 16 to 18 in Hanoi with 980 outstanding youth delegates. The delegation of Tuyen Quang province attending the Congress included 13 officials, members, and outstanding youth, representing over 141,000 youths in the province. Of these, 2 were ex officio delegates and 11 were consulted delegates at the 6th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Tuyen Quang province for the 2024-2029 term.

At the meeting, the delegation of Tuyen Quang province reported on the preparations of the delegation to attend the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union, term 2024 - 2029. The Vietnam Youth Union of the province and the delegation received and fully summarized the opinions, recommendations, proposals, as well as the thoughts and aspirations of the province's youth sent to the Congress; prepared the contents and comments at 6 discussion forums; fully prepared the conditions to build booths, introduce typical OCOP products and specialties of the province to delegates nationwide attending the Congress.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Son praised the spirit of initiative, volunteerism and creativity of the province's youth, especially the members of the delegation. He asked the Vietnamese Youth Delegation of Tuyen Quang province to uphold the sense of responsibility and bring the aspirations of the province's youth to the Congress. The delegation needs to promote the spirit of solidarity, unity, concentrate intelligence, and have many opinions contributing to express the voice of Tuyen Quang's youth in the documents and contents of the Congress; wisely select outstanding delegates representing Vietnamese youth to participate in the 9th Vietnam Youth Union Committee; promote the image of the homeland and people of Tuyen Quang to domestic and international friends; learn good models and effective methods to apply in implementing tasks in the work of the Union and the youth movement of the province.

He suggested that, immediately after the Congress, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province continue to direct all levels of the Union in the whole province to promote propaganda and disseminate the Congress's resolution to all youth in the province, ensuring that all policies and guidelines of the Congress are fully and accurately communicated; mobilizing the talent, intelligence and qualities of Tuyen Quang youth.

He emphasized that Tuyen Quang is a land rich in revolutionary traditions, the birthplace of national liberation movements. Today's Tuyen Quang youth need to continue that glorious tradition, constantly strive to study, practice and contribute, promote the role of the core force, take the lead in digital transformation, master digital technology, access and apply science and technology; actively study, improve knowledge, contribute to building the province to be increasingly rich and beautiful.
