Meeting with Agent Orange/dioxin victims receiving treatment at the Vietnam Friendship Village

BHG - On the afternoon of April 18, the Provincial Veterans Association held a meeting with a group of veterans and youth volunteers infected with Agent Orange/dioxin who were receiving treatment at the Vietnam Friendship Village, under the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association. Attending the meeting were leaders of the Provincial Veterans Association and the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/dioxin.

BHG - On the afternoon of April 18, the Provincial Veterans Association held a meeting with a group of veterans and youth volunteers infected with Agent Orange/dioxin who were receiving treatment at the Vietnam Friendship Village, under the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association. Attending the meeting were leaders of the Provincial Veterans Association and the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/dioxin.

During this year's convalescence period, the province has 20 war veterans and youth volunteers infected with Agent Orange/dioxin during the resistance war against the US in 4 localities: Vi Xuyen, Bac Quang, Quang Binh districts and Ha Giang city. The convalescence period lasts 20 days (from April 18 to May 8). The war veterans will receive medical care, physical therapy, rehabilitation, and health improvement according to each individual's medical records by the staff, employees, and doctors of the Vietnam Friendship Village. At the same time, they will be organized tours to the source, revolutionary red addresses, and historical sites.

At the meeting, the leaders of the provincial Veterans Association emphasized that this is a major policy of the Party and State to show gratitude and encourage veterans infected with Agent Orange/dioxin in difficult circumstances on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). At the same time, he requested that comrades participating in nursing at the Vietnam Friendship Village strictly comply with the rules and regulations; after completing their nursing, they return to their localities to continue promoting the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers and exemplary participation in patriotic emulation movements.

On this occasion, the Association of War Veterans and the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin of the province presented gifts to encourage the participants in the nursing program.
