Meeting with former comrades of Quang Nam and Quang Da Provincial Party Committees and Quang Da Special Zone Party Committee members

Immediately after the meeting of the Steering Committee for the arrangement and merger of administrative units of Quang Nam province and Da Nang city, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang and Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, together with the Standing Committee, Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Provincial Party Committee of the two localities, attended a meeting with former members of the Provincial Party Committees of Quang Nam, Quang Da, and members of the Quang Da Special Zone Party Committee during the resistance war (before April 30, 1975).

On behalf of the leaders of Da Nang city, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh expressed his deep gratitude to the veteran comrades. The Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee said that Da Nang has received attention from the Central Government, issuing many specific policies and mechanisms for development; the city is making drastic efforts to implement them. Regarding economic development, the city focuses on drastically implementing the theme of 2025, thereby the economy in the first quarter of 2025 grew by 11.36%, the state budget revenue reached 38.8% compared to the plan. During the 5-year period of the 2020-2025 term, Da Nang has made outstanding developments; many key areas have made important contributions; many key works and projects were started in the first quarter of 2025; this is the premise for Da Nang to develop in the coming time.

Regarding the merger of administrative units, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee said that the Steering Committee had held its third meeting, and this work was being vigorously implemented to soon submit the project to the Central Government. Up to now, through collecting opinions, there has been a very high consensus among the people. Da Nang City and Quang Nam Province are always in the spirit that good policies will be implemented after the two localities merge. The Standing Deputy Secretary sent his best wishes to the comrades; hoping that the comrades, former members of the Provincial Party Committees of Quang Nam, Quang Da, and members of the Special Zone Committee of Quang Da during the resistance war, will continue to make contributions to the construction and development of the two localities, especially the new Da Nang City./.
