Combining tourism with environmental protection

The "Clean Up the World" campaign was initiated by Australia and launched globally by the United Nations Environment Program since 1993. This environmental protection festival is held periodically in the third week of September every year. Vietnam has participated in this campaign since 1994.

On the morning of September 26, leaders, youth union members, members of the Saigontourist Group Green Club and environmental staff together planted trees from recycled materials, created more green areas, a vegetable nursery, and DIY activities and decorated plant pots from plastic bottles.

Activities with messages encouraging people to raise awareness and join hands to protect the green living environment.

According to the leader of this unit, the unit's activities are always associated with environmental protection, including both the natural environment and the human environment. Thereby, it strives to promote the image of Vietnamese tourism to international friends, contributing to making tourism a spearhead economic sector.

The unit always strives to implement the 3R policy (Reduce - Reuse - Recycle) to contribute to minimizing environmental impact. Thereby aiming towards sustainable development.

Mr. Nguyen Dong Hoa - Deputy General Director of Saigon Tourist Corporation - shared that he hopes everyone will join hands to classify and recycle waste. Let's raise awareness of environmental protection so that the city and the country will become increasingly green, clean and beautiful.

This not only contributes to protecting the common living environment, but also creates a brighter future for future generations.

Hundreds of millions of people join hands to protect the environment

After 31 years of operation, the "Clean Up the World" Campaign has attracted the participation of hundreds of millions of people and more than 180 countries worldwide.

The activity became a worldwide community movement. Thereby increasing awareness and action of all humanity towards environmental issues.
