Placing a signboard to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Southern Liberation Day for 1-6 Kindergarten

Kindergarten 1-6 (Hoan Kiem district) was established in 1991. After many years of use, it has deteriorated and does not meet teaching and learning requirements.

In 2022, Hoan Kiem District assigned the Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter Management Board to research and implement the project "Construction and renovation of 1-6 Kindergarten at 38 Thuoc Bac Street and 23 Nguyen Quang Bich Street".

Nguyen Hoang Phuong, Deputy Head of the Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter Management Board, said that the 1-6 Kindergarten project was newly built on an area of ​​232.8 square meters, including 6 classrooms and 6 functional rooms, 2 staircases and 1 elevator.

The toilets for students and teachers are built with area and equipment to ensure the needs of use and meet national school standards.

During the construction process, the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District directed the Management Board of Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter, construction units, equipment installation units and supervision consultants to pay special attention to labor safety, environmental sanitation, fire prevention and fighting, and ensure the quality and progress of the project.

Although there were some difficulties in the implementation process, with the determination and efforts of the units assigned to implement the project, after more than 800 days of construction, the construction of the 1-6 Kindergarten was completed, ensuring quality, accepted, and put into use on December 12, 2024, as a project to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification. The implementation of this project has saved about 10.8 billion VND (equivalent to 17.5% of the project's investment).

Leaders of Hoan Kiem district awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals with achievements in implementing the project to build and renovate Kindergarten 1-6.

Kindergarten 1-6 has been recognized by Hanoi city as a National Standard Kindergarten level 1 in 2024, and certified by Hanoi Departmentof Education and Training as meeting level 2 education quality standards.

Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Quoc Hoan emphasized that the Party Committee, government and people of Hoan Kiem district always pay attention to and consider education and training as one of the most important tasks in the socio -economic development of the district, considering investment in education as investment in human development strategy. Especially since the beginning of the term, Hoan Kiem district has always focused and prioritized resources to invest in renovating, repairing and building many new schools that meet the criteria of national standard schools.

The 1-6 Kindergarten Project, once completed, will gradually complete the national standard school network in Hoan Kiem district; contributing to meeting the teaching and learning needs of teachers and students in the area.

The new, spacious school is a joy for the school community, students and parents.

The leaders of Hoan Kiem district also requested the staff, teachers and employees of 1-6 Kindergarten to continue to promote the effective use of invested facilities and equipment, promote the achievements gained in recent years, be more determined, strive to improve the quality of teaching and learning, child care work, and meet the diverse needs of people in caring for and educating their children.

Delighted when the new school was given a plaque to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, Principal of 1-6 Kindergarten Nguyen Thi Phuong Lan shared: “The new school has been completed and put into use with full modern facilities, not only the pride of the school but also the joy and happiness of the students, parents and people in the area. The school is even more determined and makes efforts to continue promoting the good tradition, building a friendly and safe quality educational environment for the students."
