The leader of the Department of Quality Management (Ministry of Education and Training) shared that the results of the exam and ranking of prizes showed that the number of students winning prizes this year was spread evenly across almost all localities. Some mountainous and border localities also had students achieving the highest rankings, for example, Dien Bien province had a candidate winning first prize in biology...
The localities with the largest number of prize-winning candidates still belong to provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Nam Dinh, Bac Ninh...
The exam will be held on December 25-26, 2024. There will be 6,482 candidates nationwide, an increase of 663 candidates compared to the previous school year, taking the exam at 68 examination councils with 13 subjects: math, physics, chemistry, biology, information technology, literature, history, geography, English, Russian, French, Chinese, Japanese. This is also the first year that Japanese has been included in the national excellent student exam.
According to the current regulations for national excellent student competitions, the total number of consolation prizes and above must not exceed 60% of the number of contestants; the total number of first, second, and third prizes must not exceed 60% of the total number of prizes; the number of first prizes must not exceed 5% of the total number of prizes.
Within 15 days from the date of announcement of results, candidates have the right to request a review of their exam papers. The Department of Quality Management, Ministry of Education and Training, will issue certificates to the winning students, and the remaining students will be issued certificates of having attended the exam.
According to the plan, next March, the Ministry of Education and Training will organize an exam to select high school students for national teams to compete in regional and international Olympics in 2025, for the subjects of math, physics, chemistry, biology and informatics.
A notable point is that this year's national high school exam is the first time the Ministry of Education and Training has applied the method of transporting exam questions through the Government Cipher Committee's system nationwide. This is a method of transporting exam questions through the encrypted and secure transmission system of the Government Cipher Committee.
The Ministry of Education and Training believes that the smooth transportation of exam papers and organization of exams is an important premise for implementing the method of transporting exam papers through the Government Cipher Committee's system for the high school graduation exam from 2025 and the national high school student selection exam in the following years.
