Nearly 500 athletes participate in fundraising run for disabled children

The race will be divided into 4 distances: 300m for children aged 4-7, 600m for children aged 8-12, 1km for athletes aged 12-18 and 1km for adults. Each lap, athletes will donate from 300,000 to 500,000 VND (depending on children or adults). The more you run, the more money you donate.

Mr. Le Quoc Viet - member of the Organizing Committee of Tan Thanh Fishing Village Market said that the estimated amount of money donated and collected from the stalls after the market is about 100 million VND, all of which will be donated to the students of Hoi An City School for the Deaf.

“Before the event took place, we informed all homestays, villas and accommodation facilities in Hoi An and Da Nang to notify domestic and foreign tourists to register to participate,” said Mr. Viet.

This time, Tan Thanh fishing village fair has the participation of nearly 100 stalls selling old goods, handicrafts, homemade goods, and local cuisine. In particular, there is the participation of 6 community tourism villages including ethnic groups of Co Tu, Ta Oi, Bru Van Kieu... from the mountainous districts of Tay Truong Son such as Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien - Hue, Quang Nam.

In addition to the running competition, there are also cultural and experiential activities for children and visitors (face painting, drawing, pot smashing games, etc.).
