That is the number that the Ministry of Education and Training has just announced about the 2024 high school graduation exam in Literature. Specifically, the total number of candidates registered to take the Literature exam is 1,054,601. The number of candidates taking the exam is 1,050,622, reaching a rate of 99.62%.
In the first high school graduation exam, 7 candidates violated exam regulations and were suspended (of which, 3 candidates brought documents and 4 candidates used cell phones).
According to the assessment of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Literature exam took place safely, orderly, seriously, and in accordance with regulations. The number of candidates violating the exam regulations decreased compared to 2023 (in 2023, there were 12 candidates violating the regulations in the Literature exam).
This afternoon (June 27), candidates will take the Math exam starting at 2:30 p.m. (90 minutes).
The 2024 high school graduation exam will be organized basically stable as in the 2020-2023 period. Accordingly, the Ministry of Education and Training has given general instructions, and the provinces/cities directly under the central government will preside over all exam organization work in the locality.
The examination councils will organize the exams on June 26, 27, 28 and 29; mark the exams from June 29; announce the exam results at 8:00 a.m. on July 17, and consider recognizing high school graduation on July 19.
In 2024, the total number of candidates registering for the high school graduation exam is 1,071,000, an increase of more than 45,000 candidates compared to last year. Of which, the number of independent candidates is 46,978, accounting for 4.38%. The total number of candidates registering for exemption from the Foreign Language exam is 66,927, accounting for 6.25%; the most are candidates from Hanoi with 21,554 candidates; Ho Chi Minh City has 13,076 candidates.
This year, only 37% of candidates chose the Natural Science exam, while the remaining 63% chose the Social Science exam. Compared to last year, the number of candidates choosing the Social Science exam increased and was the highest since 2017.
In 2023, the average score for Literature nationwide was 6.86 points, the median score was 7.0 points; the score with the most candidates was 7.0 points. The number of candidates with a score of 1 or less was 92, accounting for 0.009%; the number of candidates with a score below average was 73,622, accounting for 7.3%.
