In the first quarter of 2024, the Lao Cai Provincial Branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies successfully completed its assigned tasks, ensuring the entire branch operated safely and efficiently.
Specifically, the total credit capital as of March 31, 2024 reached nearly VND 4,512 billion, an increase of more than VND 106.6 billion compared to 2023.

Loan disbursements in the first three months of 2024 reached nearly VND 410.4 billion, focusing on loan programs such as: job creation (nearly VND 92 billion), poor households (nearly VND 93 billion), near-poor households (over VND 50 billion), newly escaped poverty households (over VND 24 billion), production and business households in disadvantaged areas (over VND 93 billion); Resolution No. 06/2019/NQ-HĐND (nearly VND 29 billion),...
Total outstanding loans as of March 31, 2024 reached over VND 4,502 billion, an increase of over VND 105 billion compared to December 31, 2023. Credit quality improved, with overdue loans totaling VND 2.5 billion, accounting for 0.05% of total outstanding loans, a decrease of VND 464 million compared to December 31, 2023.

The effectiveness of social policy credit funds in the first three months of the year has been demonstrated, contributing to helping 3,289 poor households and other policy beneficiaries access capital.
Specifically, 617 poor households, 301 near-poor households, and 160 newly-escaped-poverty households received loans for economic development; loan support was provided to production and business establishments, creating jobs for 776 workers and facilitating 2 workers to work abroad on temporary contracts; 10 households received loans to cover educational expenses for students; 633 households in disadvantaged areas received loans for investment in production and business; 717 households received loans for the construction, renovation, and repair of rural water supply and sanitation facilities; 65 households in communes with a poverty rate of 40% or higher received loans under Resolution 06/2019; and 5 customers received loans for the construction, renovation, and purchase of houses under Government Decree No. 100/2015/ND-CP.
