Nearly 200 athletes compete in the Binh Thuan Provincial Cross Country Championship

BTO-On the morning of March 29, at the Provincial Gymnasium, the 2025 Provincial Cross Country Championship took place for athletes and "fans" of running in Binh Thuan province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Huynh Ngoc Tam - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said: The Binh Thuan Provincial Cross-Country Championship aims to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Sports Industry (March 27, 1946 - March 27, 2025); celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2025); respond to the month of physical education and sports activities for everyone and the Olympic Running Day for the health of all people in the period 2020 - 2030.

The tournament will have 2 age groups, 29 years old and under and 30 years old and over for both men and women, competing in 2 distances, 7km and 10km starting and finishing at the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center .

In the 10km men's race (age 29 and under), Truong Cong Luc ( LaGi Runners Club ) won first place, second place went to Tran Thanh Tung (Ham Tan Cultural and Sports Center), and third place went to Tong Phuoc Luan (Binh Thanh, Tuy Phong).
Accordingly, the first place in the team category for this event belonged to LaGi Runners Club , the second place belonged to Ham Tan Cultural and Sports Center, and the third place belonged to Luong The Vinh High School. In the same distance for the age group of 30 and above, both athletes of the Runner Thien Nghiep unit, Nguyen Van Duy and Nguyen Minh Nhuan (Phan Thiet), won the first and second places respectively, while with his efforts, Truong Cong Thang (La Gi Runners Club) ranked third. Thien Nghiep Runner - Phan Thiet City won the first place ticket for the team category of 30 and above, the second place belonged to the Provincial Military Command unit, and the third place belonged to Phan Thiet Runners 86.

The Organizing Committee also awarded prizes for the 7km women's and men's categories, age groups 29 and under and 30 and over. The 2025 Binh Thuan Provincial Cross Country Championship has contributed to motivating the masses, youth, students, workers, officials, civil servants, public employees and armed forces... to participate in physical training to improve health for studying, working and defending the country, while discovering and nurturing sports talents for the province.
