Nearly 200 lawyers in Dak Lak province received professional training

Attending the training course were Lawyer Do Ngoc Thinh, President of the Vietnam Bar Federation; Lawyer Le Hong Nguyen, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Vietnam Bar Federation Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City; Lawyer Van Hoi, Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial Bar Association; and nearly 200 lawyers and law trainees in the province.

During one day, delegates listened to reporters conveying general rules about the Vietnamese lawyer profession; professional skills and techniques when relating to clients, colleagues, agencies, litigants, state agencies, other organizations and individuals.

These are contents of special significance, aiming to equip, update and improve professional skills, at the same time foster professional ethics for the team of lawyers and law trainees according to the provisions of the Law on Lawyers, contributing to building the image of a lawyer with courage, standards and responsibility in practice. Thereby contributing to improving the quality of law practice activities, meeting the increasingly high demands of society.

Lawyers attend training classes.

It is known that according to Circular No. 02/2019 dated March 15, 2019 of the Ministry of Justice stipulating the obligation to participate in compulsory professional training for lawyers, lawyers must participate in compulsory professional training for at least 8 hours/year. Lawyers who violate this obligation will be reprimanded, warned and, most seriously, temporarily suspended from the Bar Association membership from 6 months to 24 months.
