Right from the first day of its launch, the game has excited players with its pixel game design and simple gameplay, through the journey to explore famous landscapes of Vietnam such as: Thanh Toan tile bridge (Hue), Huong Canh ancient communal house of Binh Xuyen (Vinh Phuc) to Thuy Dinh in Thien Phuc Tu (Hanoi), Vong Linh Cao Dai bell tower on Fansipan peak (Lao Cai), Poshanu Cham tower and Nam Cuong sand hill (Ninh Thuan - Binh Thuan)...
Tran Tuan Hiep subtly integrates Vietnam's famous landscapes into the game through each map and obstacle. "I want to bring culture and famous places in Vietnam closer to young people, so they can travel online and learn about culture through playing games," Hiep shared.
The game is a role-playing game, players will start their journey in Hue Citadel, then have to cross the map, avoid obstacles to collect rewards. One of the interesting details of the game is the obstacles, they are cats, buffaloes and ghosts. "Each location, architecture, costume, obstacle in the game has meaning, when combined together will create profound stories, deepening the national cultural identity", Hiep said.

Tran Tuan Hiep designs games to bring Vietnamese culture to the world
The game was completed by Hiep in about 3 months. Before starting to work, Hiep researched, surveyed and drew many works and famous landscapes of Vietnam. With the help and support of his friend Pham Duy Phuc (in charge of the game code), Chay tan phan hoa was officially posted on applications such as Google Play, AppStore.
Chay Tran Phom Hoa is also the only Vietnamese game to be honored in the “Here's to the Dreamers” campaign - Apple's campaign to honor outstanding talents in the Southeast Asian region.
“When I learned that Apple chose my game for the campaign, I felt very happy, feeling that all my hard work had been rewarded appropriately,” Hiep said emotionally. With this game, Hiep also received an award at the Vietnamese game competition in November 2023.
As someone who has experienced the game since its first days of release, Bui Trach Nhan, a student at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Ho Chi Minh City, said: “I major in a culture-related field, so I really like this game. I get to learn about culture proactively through overcoming levels, and the pixel graphics are also a big plus for the game.”
Through Chay chay phan hoa , Hiep wants to send a message to young people who are pursuing, or planning to pursue, the field of game making: “Just try your best, if you want to start with an idea, do it right away and at the same time find more companions, find people who are good at the field that you are not good at. If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together”.
