Galaxy Studio CEO said that Galaxy Sala cinema aims for an "all-in-one" model, meeting all needs for high-end cinema experiences.
Launching the high-end Galaxy Sala cinema model in a context where the economy has not yet recovered may be a bold decision, however, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Hoa - CEO of Galaxy Studio - believes that this is the right time.
"With more than 20 years in the industry, we carefully considered business and financial issues before opening a new cinema complex. It took us nearly two years to prepare, conduct many surveys, research the market, and detail each task that needed to be solved," Ms. Mai Hoa explained.
A series of changes in entertainment trends and behaviors have partly prompted businesses to upgrade their cinematic experiences at a reasonable cost. Ms. Mai Hoa pointed out that many audiences are willing to pay higher prices to watch movies in professional formats and with different experiences. Typically, previously, Imax standards only accounted for 5-10% of total box office revenue, but by 2022-2023, this number will double or triple.
Customer profiles are gradually changing. According to Ms. Mai Hoa: "Gen Z is very individualistic, requiring personalized experiences. Generation Alpha is even different. Audiences are now very closely exposed to regional and world cultures. We recognize this, proactively change and develop to meet the increasing demand for enjoying movies."
Specifically, at Galaxy Sala, the company aims to create a multi-dimensional, multi-colored cinematic world, meaning that viewers can experience all services right at the cinema complex. With the message "Cine...More" (more than a cinema), the company predicts that this hybrid (multi-purpose) cinema model will become a new entertainment destination, attracting many audiences.
Ms. Mai Hoa pointed out three touch points that help Galaxy Sala conquer demanding audiences, including: IMAX Laser screen for sharp images, vivid sound, and realistic feeling in every detail; interesting culinary experiences, diverse choices right at the theater with two styles VIP Boulevard Lounge and CineMunch; themed theater spaces (Lagom, Laurus, Haatopia), bringing multi-dimensional emotions.
"More than just a cinema is what we want to bring to the audience," Ms. Mai Hoa emphasized. With the shift in consumer behavior, audiences are gradually applying technology deeply into their lives - from payment, shopping to entertainment experiences. In addition, they also prioritize choosing a place that can meet many different purposes in the same location. Therefore, the birth of the hybrid cinema model is necessary.
Accordingly, Galaxy Sala not only brings one, but many technologies and services, thereby clearly demonstrating the concept of "entertainment is a means of creating connection". Business leaders explain that people always need to connect with themselves, valuable relationships in a "suitable" space.
"Galaxy Studio has been, is and will be creating meaningful spaces and outstanding entertainment experiences for these good connections," Ms. Mai Hoa affirmed. Regardless of the strategy, the company believes that efficiency and quality are always the foundation for all changes and breakthroughs.
"Opening a cinema complex is just the beginning, putting it into operation is a long process. In the end, we still have to return to the real value and what we bring to the audience. How to ensure operational efficiency and service quality is a question we always remind ourselves every day. We are ready to change to suit the new portrait. Most importantly, Galaxy Sala is just the starting point of the journey beyond the safe zone, bringing a cinema experience that exceeds standards to Vietnamese audiences," Ms. Mai Hoa added.
