Gala "Vietnam Night" opens a series of activities at Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair 2024

This is the opening program for the series of activities of the Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo 2024 (ITE HCMC 2024) which will be opened on the morning of September 5 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.

In his opening speech, Mr. Phan Van Mai, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, emphasized the history of the formation and development of Saigon-Cho Lon-Gia Dinh, Ho Chi Minh City today. With perseverance and courage, with the will to conquer nature and the desire to explore new lands, the first generations set foot here and built the city into one of the largest economic- cultural-educational-commercial gateway cities in Vietnam, a river-based, sea-oriented city with rich identity that has brought many interesting feelings and experiences to visitors.

Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai delivered the opening speech of the program.

Over the past 326 years, Saigon-Cho Lon-Gia Dinh, Ho Chi Minh City has also been the cradle of peace-loving people, always looking to the future, cooperating and making friends with all countries and peoples in the world.

With that meaning, the Gala art program "Vietnam Night" with the theme "Vivid Ho Chi Minh City" carries the image and message of a harmonious flow, taking all audiences through the beauty of the city's landscape, people, and culture.

Opening the program, the song “Vietnam in my heart” is like a proud introduction to Vietnam, beautiful, safe, rich in identity, respecting nature. Besides, it is also the pride of a vibrant, civilized, modern, and affectionate Ho Chi Minh City. Through folk songs, melodies, and folk songs - one of the important parts that create Vietnamese cultural identity, the Gala Night brought lively performances, expressing the beauty and people of Vietnam to friends at home and abroad.

The program includes many special art performances.

It is known that through 17 times of organization, ITE HCMC Fair has constantly innovated and improved the professionalism in organization in an effort to become the most influential tourism fair in the Asia region.

This year's ITE HCMC 2024 Fair with the theme "Sustainable Tourism - Creating the Future" determines the strategic vision of Vietnam's tourism industry in general and Ho Chi Minh City tourism in particular is to develop sustainable tourism.
