Tan Son Nhat Airport Terminal 3 is operational: Which way is the fastest, what buses connect?

Tan Son Nhat Terminal 3 is about to come into operation. People are concerned about how to get there conveniently because the new terminal is separate from the other two terminals, T1 and T2, and other specific directions to T3.

Terminal T3 of Tan Son Nhat airport, with a total investment of nearly 11,000 billion VND, is expected to be put into operation on April 30, 2025, two months ahead of schedule compared to the original plan.

The station has a scale of 1 basement and 4 floors above ground, with a capacity to serve 20 million passengers/year, handling about 80% of domestic passengers, helping to reduce the load on the existing T1 terminal.

According to plan, after the April 30 holiday, terminal T3 will officially serve domestic flights of Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air.

Speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) said that because terminal T3 is separate from terminals T1 and T2, traffic organization has also changed.

The simplest way is to go straight along Truong Son Street, then turn onto Phan Thuc Duyen Street to reach T3 Station.

If going from the center of Ho Chi Minh City, people can follow the Nam Ky Khoi Nghia - Nguyen Van Troi - Hoang Van Thu park route, then turn left, enter the Hoang Van Thu tunnel to go straight to the Tran Quoc Hoan connecting road. This direction is considered fast and clear if going during non-rush hours.

From the east of the city, for example Thu Duc City, just follow Pham Van Dong Street, turn to Truong Son and then connect to Tran Quoc Hoan Street to get there.

In the west and south of the city, such as from An Suong or Tan Ky Tan Quy areas, people should follow Cong Hoa street and then turn onto Tran Quoc Hoan connecting street. If starting from Truong Chinh area, people can turn onto Hoang Hoa Tham extended street or 18E street to quickly connect to Tran Quoc Hoan street.

To connect between terminals, Tan Son Nhat airport has arranged shuttle buses between T1 - T2 - T3, with a frequency of about 20 minutes per trip. In addition, passengers can also travel by technology car, taxi or public bus, depending on their needs.

How impressive is Tan Son Nhat T3 terminal?

Adjustment of bus connecting terminal T3

On the occasion of April 30, when Tan Son Nhat T3 terminal officially came into operation, Ho Chi Minh City adjusted the frequency of bus route 109 from 42 to 110 trips/day.

Route 72-1 (airport - Vung Tau) is also directly connected to T3 station. The entrance to T3 station is located on 18E and C2 streets (Tan Binh district), making it more convenient for people to travel.
