Regarding the aviation sector, Vietnam Airports Corporation said that the T3 Terminal Project at Tan Son Nhat International Airport is targeted to be inaugurated on the occasion of the April 30 holiday - two months ahead of schedule. Currently, items such as architectural completion, roof steel structure and aircraft parking have been basically completed.
The project will start construction in December 2022 with a total investment of nearly VND11,000 billion. The project includes a passenger terminal, a multi-storey car park combined with non-aviation services, a system of overpasses in front of the terminal and an aircraft parking lot.

Terminal T3 has 90 traditional airline check-in counters, 20 automatic bagdrop counters and 42 check-in kiosks, 27 boarding gates (including 13 telescopic gates and 14 bus gates), 6 departure baggage handling islands and 10 arrival baggage return islands, and 25 security control gates.
When completed, Terminal T3 will have a capacity of more than 20 million passengers/year, serving 7,000 passengers during peak hours, contributing to reducing the load on Terminal T1 of Tan Son Nhat airport.
Regarding the road sector, the Southern Expressway Management Board under the Vietnam Expressway Corporation informed that the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway will open two more 32 km sections in Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai on the occasion of the April 30 holiday.
The Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway project is 57.8km long, starting from the intersection with Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway, ending at Tan Hiep Intersection of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, passing through Long An, Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai with a total investment of nearly VND29,587 billion. The Ministry of Construction said that the project will complete 55km out of the total 57.8km by the end of this year, contributing to the goal of 3,000km of expressway by 2025 and is expected to complete the entire route by 2026.
In addition, 5 component projects of the North-South Eastern Expressway Project in the 2021-2025 period are also expected to be completed and put into operation on April 30, including: Bai Vot - Ham Nghi (over 35km long), Ham Nghi - Vung Ang (over 54km long), Vung Ang - Bung (over 55km long), Bung - Van Ninh (49km long) and Van Phong - Nha Trang (83km long). Currently, the 5 projects mentioned above have achieved progress of 77-85%.
These 5 projects are among 12 component projects of the North-South Expressway Project Phase 2. In the phased phase, the projects will be invested with 4 lanes, 17 m wide, no emergency lanes but arranged stops, designed speed of 90 km/h. After completion in 2025, the North-South Expressway will connect from Lang Son to Ca Mau.

This year, the transport sector strives to start 19 projects and complete 50 projects. Of these, completing component projects, connecting the North-South expressway in the East and, together with localities, completing a number of expressway projects to achieve the goal of putting 3,000km of expressway into operation; completing and basically connecting the Ho Chi Minh road; basically completing the Long Thanh International Airport project.
