Coach Giustozzi Diego Raul's team will have a series of friendly matches against top 10 futsal teams in the world, namely Paraguay and Argentina.
The training camp in South America is preparation for the 2024 Asian Futsal Qualifiers in early October, aiming to secure a ticket to the 2024 Futsal World Cup held in the USA and Mexico. The Vietnamese futsal team will have about 10 days of training in Ho Chi Minh City before departing for South America on May 31st.

During their training camp in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnamese futsal team (ranked 39th in the world) will play friendly matches against Solomon Islands, a team from Oceania with the same goal of participating in the 2024 Futsal World Cup. According to the planned schedule, the Solomon Islands futsal team (ranked 54th in the world) will have two friendly matches against the Vietnamese futsal team on May 26th and 27th in Ho Chi Minh City.
The team from the Solomon Islands has participated in the Futsal World Cup four times in a row (2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020), although Solomon Islands futsal has never advanced beyond the group stage. Meanwhile, the Vietnamese futsal team has only participated in the world's highest-level tournament twice (World Cup 2016, 2020) but has achieved good results both times, advancing beyond the group stage. In 2020, they were eliminated in the round of 16 by Russia.
