Vietnam women's futsal gets off to a good start with training in Japan

On the afternoon of April 23, the Vietnamese women's futsal team had a promising start to their training trip in Japan. Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and his team won 2-0 against Fugador Sumida Ladies Club in the first friendly match, aiming for the 2026 Asian Women's Futsal Championship finals.

The match took place at a fast pace, full of drama and showed many positive signs from the students of coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang. Right from the first minutes, the Vietnamese team showed proactive and effective playing style. Player Thanh Ngan shined when scoring two goals in the 3rd and 8th minutes, helping the home team quickly take control of the game.

Sharing after the match, Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang highly appreciated his opponent: “Fugador Sumida Ladies Club has a squad of quality players, playing with a very high intensity and constantly applying pressure. However, our players entered the game well, maintained their concentration and dominated the game.”

However, he also frankly pointed out the areas that need improvement: “The finishing is still lacking in sharpness and the defense sometimes cannot react to quick situations. These are things we will continue to improve in the future.”

This is considered an important step in preparation for the continental tournament.

According to the plan, tomorrow (April 24), the whole team will rest to recover their physical strength. The coaching staff will hold a technical meeting to review the match and adjust tactics for the next match against the Japanese women's futsal team on April 25.

This training trip to Japan is not only a valuable opportunity for competition, but also an important stepping stone for the Vietnamese women's futsal team to accumulate experience and competitive spirit before entering the 2026 Asian Women's Futsal Championship finals.
