Futsal HDBank National Championship 2024: Thai Son Nam wins big against 'arch-rival'

Thai Son Nam and Sahako have been direct competitors for the championship in recent seasons. Therefore, the match between the two teams is considered the highlight of the opening match of the 2024 HDBank National Futsal Championship.

3 minutes after the opening whistle, Thai Son Nam opened the score. Nguyen Thinh Phat's one-touch shot was extremely fast, leaving goalkeeper Sahako unable to react. The loss made Sahako increase the speed of play even more. Costa, Ngo Ngoc Son and Lam Tan Phat coordinated smoothly, making it very difficult for Thai Son Nam defenders to keep up.

However, Sahako was too focused on attacking and left gaps in defense. Nguyen Thinh Phat once again shined to double the gap for coach Nguyen Anh Tuan's team. The 2 goals helped Thai Son Nam easily control the match. Meanwhile, Sahaka players were a bit hasty in decisive situations.

Before the first half ended, Pham Duc Hoa scored the third goal for Thai Son Nam. In the second half, coach Nguyen Anh Khoa encouraged his players. They created many dangerous situations but Ho Van Y played with concentration, blocking Sahako's shots well.

Thai Son Nam did not maintain the high speed as in the first half. They lurked, waited for Sahako to make a mistake and scored 2 more goals to seal the 5-0 victory.

Despite the big win, Thai Son Nam still ranked second on the rankings. Because a day before, Saigon Titans TP.HCM won 10-1 against Luxury Ha Long.

In the first match of the same day, Tan Hiep Hung drew 1-1 with Hanoi.
