In March 2023, FPT Software announced the acquisition of the entire technology services sector - one of the strategic business areas of Intertec International in the US.
This deal is part of FPT Software's strategy to expand its global technology service centers, aiming to become a world-class billion-dollar technology company by 2023.
The partnership between the two parties began with FPT Software’s investment in Intertec in 2021. In 2023, along with this deal, FPT Software will expand its presence in Costa Rica, Colombia and Mexico, which are also the three countries with Intertec’s technology manufacturing centers.
Accordingly, together with FPT Software's network of 22 technology supply centers worldwide, the newly merged Intertec technology service division will help both sides accompany customers in the fastest way in all time zones, all locations and maximize the unlimited opportunities from the English-speaking market. At the same time, it will help FPT Software improve its ability to meet the quality of products and solutions in the field of agile software for customers.
The US is one of FPT Software's two largest markets, contributing the highest profit among all markets, with a growth rate of 50% in 2022. FPT Americas' revenue increased 5 times and profit increased 10 times from 2017 to 2022. The US branch continues to implement its plan to expand its presence and aims to reach a scale of 1,000 employees in the Latin American region in the next 2 years.
Since 2014, FPT Software has merged with RWE IT Slovakia to expand its customer base in public infrastructure. This is the first M&A deal in the field of information technology in Vietnam in the foreign market. In 2018, FPT Software acquired 90% of the shares of Intellinet, a digital transformation roadmap consulting company with the fastest growth rate in the US, as assessed by Consulting Magazine in 2017.
