On August 28th, at its Hanoi campus, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) held a ceremony to announce the resolution establishing and launching the Department of Artificial Intelligence. Within the framework of the event, Professor Dr. Tu Minh Phuong - Chairman of the Institute's Council and Mr. Nguyen The Phuong - Chairmanof FPT Smart Cloud exchanged a memorandum of cooperation agreement between the two units in research, training, and human resource development in the field of artificial intelligence.

The event was attended by Minister Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Ministers Phan Tam, Nguyen Huy Dung, Nguyen Thanh Lam, Bui Hoang Phuong, and leaders of functional departments under the Ministry of Information and Communications . Emphasizing the importance of AI, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung stated that the AI ​​training program of the academy needs to be continuously updated, closely aligned with AI teaching programs of universities worldwide, meeting the practical needs of businesses and the development trends of society.

According to the memorandum of cooperation signed by the top leaders of the two units, FPT Smart Cloud will support the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) in orienting and developing undergraduate and postgraduate artificial intelligence training programs to meet the needs of developing high-quality human resources for society; at the same time, FPT Smart Cloud will support PTIT in in-depth scientific research and technology transfer in the field of artificial intelligence.
