DNVN – FPT Corporation has just announced plans to open an education representative office in Japan. With the goal of internationalizing learning experiences, the office will connect students from Vietnam, Japan and the Northeast Asia region, creating opportunities to improve training quality and develop technology human resources.
It is expected that FPT'seducation representative office will be located at one of FPT's branches in Japan. FPT is currently present in major cities and provinces such as Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, etc.; all of which are known as cities with high-quality education systems and strong technological development.
According to Dr. Le Truong Tung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT University, opening an educational representative office in Japan is an activity demonstrating the strategy of internationalizing education and developing high-quality human resources, suitable for the new context: "It will be the center to promote international cooperation, with Japan as the core, focusing on human resource training, scientific research, student exchange and interaction. FPT is placing high expectations and investments in AI, chip design - semiconductor microcircuits and Japan is a large partner and market, with many opportunities for cooperation, learning and development in these areas".
With the plan to open an educational representative office in Japan, FPT aims to promote cooperation in training, scientific research and student exchange in the future.
Not only targeting Vietnamese students, the office also welcomes students from Japan and Northeast Asian countries as well as neighboring areas. This will be the center for FPT to develop training activities, exchange and communication between Vietnamese and Japanese students, enhancing the two-way domestic and international educational experience for learners. Thereby, Vietnamese students will have the opportunity to experience the international educational environment in Japan, while international students will be able to explore the educational ecosystem of Vietnam.
In addition, FPT will promote its network of partners in Japan and the FPT alumni community in Japan to open up work and internship experiences, support job search opportunities or study at higher levels for FPT students after graduation. In addition, training in Japanese language or teaching Japanese as a second foreign language for IT students also facilitates FPT to bring many students to participate in these activities and attract Japanese students to have a Vietnamese educational experience.
Ms. Chu Thi Thanh Ha, Chairman of FPT Software emphasized: “The signing event marks an important step forward in implementing FPT’s long-term commitment to training and supplying high-quality human resources for the IT industry, especially Japan - a market with strict requirements for the quality of IT engineers. I believe that the cooperation of FPT member units in the IT services and training sectors in Vietnam and Japan will not only continue to create new steps in training and developing high-quality human resources with IT expertise, Japanese proficiency and deep understanding of Japanese culture, but also demonstrate FPT’s solidarity and synergy on a global scale.”
Currently, FPT has established relationships with 180 educational partners from 40 countries around the world. Since 2009, FPT has had the first international students from Japan, Germany, France, Portugal, Thailand, North Korea, Myanmar, Brunei, etc. participating in study programs, student exchange, and cultural exchange. In 2023, FPT will have more than 3,500 students participating in international experiences. FPT has an international student development center, located on its main campus in Da Nang.
