Continuing the upward momentum, just a few minutes after opening, VN-Index jumped nearly 10 points to 1,290 points. Green dominated the electronic board, most stocks increased well.
Banking and pillar stocks are the main drivers of the market. FPT is one of them, reaching its 35th peak this year and the highest mark in its 18-year history of listing at around VND141,000/share.
At the end of the morning session on October 10, VN-Index increased by 7.84 points, equivalent to 0.61% to 1,289.69 points. The entire floor had 201 stocks increasing and 135 stocks decreasing.

Entering the afternoon session, red quickly spread across the electronic board, many industry groups were also under adjustment pressure.
At the end of the trading session on October 10, VN-Index increased by 4.51 points, equivalent to 0.35% to 1,286.36 points. The entire floor had 163 stocks increasing, 206 stocks decreasing, and 69 stocks remaining unchanged.
HNX-Index decreased 0.48 points to 231.29 points. The entire floor had 62 stocks increasing, 80 stocks decreasing and 76 stocks remaining unchanged. UPCoM-Index increased 0.12 points to 92.57 points.
Despite the general market being under pressure to correct, FPT shares still flourished and even expanded their growth momentum. At the end of the session, FPT increased by 6.3% to VND141,700/share and contributed nearly 2.3 points to the market. Liquidity was also active with nearly 10 million units matched, nearly 3 times the average of recent sessions.
Other stocks in the technology group also increased well, such as CMG, ELC, ITD, TTN, SBD, MFS, CMT, UNI. However, in the industry, there were still some codes that ended the session in red, such as ST8, SAM, VTC, SMT.
Red also dominated the banking group, however, the big players still ended the session in green, helping the whole industry increase by 0.24%. On the positive side, CTG, BID, VCB, NAB, VPB, EVF, BVB all increased by more or less 1%. Meanwhile, TPB, MSB, STB, TCB, VIB, SHB, MBB, ACB decreased.
The real estate and securities groups also turned down in the afternoon session. In particular, the entire securities industry, except for SSI, which increased by 0.92% to VND27,550/share, most of the other codes decreased. In the real estate group, a few codes increased slightly such as NTL, NVL, TCH, TIG, IJC, VPI, HQC, QCG, while the rest mostly decreased.

The total order matching value in today's session was VND20,546 billion, up 9% compared to the previous day, of which the order matching value on the HoSE floor reached VND18,471 billion. In the VN30 group, liquidity reached VND10,781 billion.
Foreign investors net bought VND506 billion worth of goods today, of which they disbursed VND2,156 billion and sold VND1,650 billion.
The codes that were sold strongly were STB 126 billion VND, CTG 49 VND, VPB 49 billion VND, HCM 34 VND, MSB 33 billion VND,... On the contrary, the codes that were mainly bought were MSN 367 billion VND, FPT 312 VND, NTL 158 billion VND, TCB 135 VND, CMG 21 billion VND,...
