FPT and foreign partners establish Vietnam Semiconductor Industry Development Investment Fund

On August 8, in Hanoi, Taiwanese financial consulting firm FCC Partners (FCCP) and FPT Corporation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote investment cooperation, commercialization and comprehensive development in the high-tech sector between the two sides. From there, the two sides will contribute to helping Taiwan (China) and Vietnam develop high technology and the semiconductor industry.

According to the cooperation agreement, the two sides will closely coordinate to research and establish the Vietnam Semiconductor Industry Development Investment Fund, aiming to develop human resources, attract foreign investment in the semiconductor industry, support start-ups and promote innovation, thereby contributing to the growth of the semiconductor industry in Vietnam.

In addition, FCC Partners will introduce potential partners and customers, supporting FPT Software Taiwan (China) to develop the market. At the same time, FCC Partners will be a bridge for FPT Education to connect with universities in Taiwan (China), opening up opportunities for cooperation in education and human resource training for both sides.

FCC Partner Chairman, Mr. CY Huang, said that the cooperation between FCC Partner and FPT will mark an important turning point in FCC Partner's development strategy in Vietnam, opening up many cooperation opportunities in many fields such as investment funds, semiconductors, software, education and green transformation.

Mr. CY Huang, Chairman of FCC Partners, hopes that after the cooperation, the two sides will together create sustainable values.

“Taiwan (China) has great strengths in technology industries, especially semiconductors and artificial intelligence, the cooperation will bring great benefits to both sides. We believe that with FPT's depth in the technology field and FCC Partners' experience, the two sides will together create sustainable values, bringing practical benefits to the two businesses as well as the business community in the region,” said Mr. CY Huang.

Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Corporation, affirmed that the world will not be able to lack chips, so the semiconductor industry will not wait for any country.

“I have met many experts who have said that Vietnam has many advantages to participate in this industry. However, Vietnam does not have much time to take advantage of the opportunity. Therefore, we need to have breakthrough approaches and need to cooperate with parties such as FCC Partners,” Mr. Truong Gia Binh affirmed.

Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Corporation, said that FPT and FCC Partners will join hands to quickly participate in the global semiconductor chain.

According to Mr. Truong Gia Binh, among Vietnam's advantages, human resources are one of the core factors that foreign partners look forward to the most. If Vietnam prepares its human resources well, it will immediately gain the trust of its partners, promote investment attraction, and develop the semiconductor production and supply chain.

Mr. Truong Gia Binh proposed that after this cooperation, the two sides will discuss to find a plan to build research rooms in big cities such as Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City.

FPT Chairman hopes that FCC Partners will call on investors to come to Vietnam to train human resources as quickly as possible. Later, Vietnamese human resources can work for FPT or other enterprises, work in Vietnam, Taiwan (China), Japan, the US... or any other country and territory.
