The addition of the Tremor version to the Everest line was announced not long after the Ranger Tremor model was launched. The Everest also received similar upgrades, looking more rugged and dusty.
On the exterior, this version has a new honeycomb grille, steel underbody protection panels, aggressive side steps and striking orange Tremor decals on a military gray paint background.
Inside, the car features Tremor-embossed leather seats, all-season floor mats, and black trim.
A standout feature of the Everest Tremor is the black rims with General Grabber AT3 All-Terrain tires, which increase traction when driving off-road. In addition, there are very sensitive Bilstein shock absorbers and new leaf springs that increase the vehicle's ground clearance by 26mm.
The vehicle is equipped with Rock Crawl mode similar to Ranger Raptor to conquer rocky terrain.
The Everest Tremor is only equipped with a 3.0L V6 turbodiesel engine, producing 247 horsepower and 600Nm of torque. The maximum towing capacity of 3,500kg remains the same. Unlike the Ranger Tremor, which uses a smaller 2.0L bi-turbodiesel engine, the Everest Tremor's power is controlled by a 10-speed automatic transmission and 4-wheel drive.
The Ford Everest Tremor starts at AUD 76,590 ($51,675) in Australia, which is AUD 6,900 ($4,655) more expensive than the Ranger Tremor but still cheaper than the Everest Platinum.
Notable optional equipment includes the Rough Terrain Pack with ARB off-road accessories, along with the Touring Pack, Premium Seat Pack, and Towing Pack.
Before the Tremor, the most powerful version of the Everest was the Wildtrak in many markets. Ford once rejected plans to make an Everest Raptor, but that view could change if the Tremor is a sales success.
It is not yet clear whether the Everest Tremor version will be sold in markets other than Australia.
